Life lesson learned the Audiolab gear was returned to the retailer and my Yamaha gear put back. I suppose it was an accident waiting to happen as I hadn't auditioned the gear and it was also a sizeable (and noticeable) drop in power from my Yamaha A-S501. I really tried to love the Audiolab and all the rave reviews were telling me that I should, but apart from the phono stage and the bluetooth I rapidly began to dislike the thin but 'airy' sound. I dipped my toe into high end(ish) audio a few weeks ago and got my hands on some Audiolab gear (6000A and 6000CDT)
